Meet Rachel
I'm just getting started in the wonderful world of birthing! After my first birth with my son I realized I had a passion for the birthing community it wasn't until my second birth with my daughter I realized I wanted to pursue that passion. I found that not only could I pursue my passion for birthing but I could also help others have the birth experience they want by becoming a doula!
I want to learn as much as I can about the birthing world and am committed to attend workshops, classes, seminars, and read birth related material to provide expand my knowledge and experience.
I've completed The Birthing Inn's DONA Doula Workshop, I've also attended a breastfeeding class, a birthing class series, and have had the experience of having two children of my own. I would also like to further my experience and eventually become a lactation consultant.
Currently I'm in school working towards my bachelor's degree in psychology. So much of my care is not only physically based but very strongly emotionally based. I like to help women and their families through any fears, issues, or concerns they have with their pregnancy, labor, or delivery.
A little about me... My husband and I have two kids a son name Rohnon who is 5 and a daughter named Lily that is two! We also have two dogs! We love to spend time playing outdoors and spending time with our family.
I have a strong belief in helping others and if I can have a career that does that that would be my absolute ideal job. That's why I would love the opportunity to be your doula!
